IMPORTANT NEWS FOR OVERSEAS STUDENTS

 

As of the 1st of January and the 8th of February 2010 there have been significant changes introduced to the Migration Regulations for overseas students wishing to apply for temporary or permanent Australian residency. The release of the new Skilled Occupation List has caused further confusion.

 

There have also been significant changes to the skills assessment programs for both Trades Recognition Australia (TRA) and Vetassess, specifically relevant to overseas students with Australian qualifications.

 

If your intentions is to apply for Australian temporary or permanent residency after you have finished your Australian studies, it is important that you are aware of how these changes will affect you.
